25th March 2017, was the day that my life changed forever. It not only changed for me but for my partner, Samantha and my family and friends.
My name is Andy Braybrook,
I was knocked off my motorbike in a road traffic collision. I was airlifted to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham where I spent 4 weeks in ICU as a ventilated patient. I was then transferred to City hospital, where I spent 2 weeks in HDU before a bed was made available in a specialist spinal unit at the Northern General hospital, Sheffield.
I'm a complete C7 quadriplegic with full use of my arms but very limited finger movement.
Nearly 3 years on, my home has been adapted, I'm back on the road and I'm ready to share my knowledge and experiences of life with paralysis.
